Lake Superior Regional Family Justice Center

For the last four years, the Lake Superior Regional Family Justice Center has been both a dream and a work of progress. This Family Justice Center will operate as a "one stop shop" for domestic violence victims and will continue Duluth's national leadership role in advising and implementing strategies to end family violence.

The Center is anticipated to serve approximately 2,500 women and their children annually. This location will provide high visibility "on the street" in contrast to the necessary neighborhood site of Safe Haven's existing shelter. More women will be made aware and able to seek the necessary supportive services to address the issues that have traumatized their lives, jeopardized their emotional and physical health, threatened their family structures, and diminished their self worth.
