The Healing Circle allows survivors of domestic violence a place to find support for their feelings and experiences in a safe, confidential, non-judgemental manner. It allows survivors to heal in in their own way and time. Anyone may join on any Monday night at the Family Justice Center and leave whenever they want. Please contact the Family Justice Center, (218) 623-1000, for more information.
This 25-week closed group open every 8 weeks to allow new community members to join. A closed group encourages participants to bond and develop intimacy and trust. There is a fresh topic each week and a time set aside for sharing. Please contact the Family Justice Center, (218) 623-1000, for more information.
The Inside Story is an hour long tour of Safe Haven Shelter for Battered Women. Please contact Safe Haven Shelter to schedule a tour (218) 728-6481.
For all new volunteers, this required training provides an overview of the Shelter services and the dynamics of domestic violence including how DV impacts women and children. To register for volunteer training, contact Hillary at 218-730-2468.
The Family Justice Center is currently providing GED assistance to women affected by domestic violence. Services are provided on Wednesday afternoons from 1 pm – 3:30 pm and Thursdays from 5 pm - 7 pm. Child care and snacks are provided both days; dinner on Thursdays is provided. Call Kaitlyn to sign-up at 218-740-6615.
