Offering temporary refuge for survivors of domestic violence, their children, and even their pets. We provide a safe, supportive environment with food, shelter, and 24/7 crisis support.
Find a safe place to call our crisis line. This could be at home while the person causing you harm is gone, with a friend, at a clinic or hospital, or from a gas station. You can also ask a law enforcement officer, social worker, or trusted person to help you make the call.
We’ll ask a few simple questions to understand your situation and determine the best way to support you.
If shelter is available, we’ll work with you to make a plan to arrive safely. We suggest you bring with you important documents (like ID's) and medications if you are able to safely do so. Remember: your safety is most important. We can assist you in replacing items you must leave behind.
When you arrive, you’ll have a secure, comfortable place to rest. We will cover your basic needs (food, shelter, shower and hygiene products). Advocates are available to support you as you begin to think about your next steps.
Anyone experiencing domestic violence—regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, or background—is welcome at Safe Haven Shelter. We also support survivors with children and pets. If you’re unsure whether the shelter is right for your situation, call us—we’re here to help.
We are a 4 week (28 day) emergency shelter where survivor’s basic needs are met:
Yes, children and pets are both welcome at Safe Haven's Shelter.
An advocate will work with you to get you to our confidential shelter location safely. When you arrive, an advocate will complete paperwork with you, provide you with food and hygiene products, and help you get aquainted with shelter building.
